Testimonials of Celestial Sounds

“I felt that chill down the back when two magnificent voices (James Potts and Cass Jendzurski) rendered “O Holy Night” the way you’ll never hear it in church.”

“How fortunate we are to have Cass Jendzurski here at St.James. As a cantor she leads with grace. As a vocalist she sings with angelic effortless ease. As a harpist she is a joy. All she does reflects her deep and peaceful faith.”
Reverend James O’Blaney, C.Ss.R., Pastor
St James Catholic Church

"Darlene Way is employed as a nurse at Mt. Hope Nazarene Retirement Community.  She has very good skills as a nurse which means our residents are getting very good care as she ministers to them.  And Darlene’s idea of “taking a break” is to bring out her flute and entertain the residents with many soothing songs.  Darlene’s combination of being a skillful nurse and an entertainer has brought many joys to the residents of Mt. Hope."

“Cass is gifted as a vocalist and a harpist who invites you into a peaceful and healing spirit to contemplate the presence of the Lord.”
Sister Maria DeMonte, OP
Director of the Lancaster Mornings of Contemplative Prayer

"Cass’s singing transformed my wedding venue into a place prepared for a holy experience. Her voice was beautiful and the passion in her presentation and voice moved everyone who was there. I was so blessed that, many years later, I asked her to sing at each of my daughters’ weddings. To my great joy, she agreed and two more brides were able to enjoy this rich blessing."

“Songs for the Journey was a gift from God for me and my mother on the night she died. I believe God sent my Mom her own personal angel (Cass), to escort her to him with peaceful, gentle harp music and soothing hymns of praise. Throughout her life, until the hour of her death, my Mother was a woman of faith, and her sharing of that faith was one of the blessed gifts she gave to me. In the last moments of my Mother's life, my faith continued to deepen. This happened through the powerful experience of God's love and personal presence through Songs for the Journey, and dear Cass, as His personal channel of grace and healing as God welcomed my mother home to His heart. I was also blessed to have Cass as vocalist and harpist at my Mother's viewing and funeral Mass. The beauty and clarity of her voice, and her talent as a musician on the harp was truly a gift and a comfort.”

Darlene Way played at our wedding over 16 years ago.  It was a January wedding, warmer than usual, but being winter, it was light when the service began, dark when it ended.  The winter season provided an intimate setting for our wedding, and Darlene's music added loving grace and  beauty and an elegant calm to our ceremony.  We were so appreciative to have had Darlene's playing at our wedding ceremony.

Darlene played her flute eight years for the Taize services at First United Methodist Church in Lancaster.  Her beautiful tone and delicate musical style blended especially well with the Taize music.  When she played as a soloist, we could feel the depth of her heart and when she played as part of the ensemble, we could feel her gentle sensitivity for all the musical lines.  She’s a perfect musician for “Celestial Sounds”.
