About Cass and Darlene

Cass JendzurskiCass Jendzurski is a singer, recording artist, and instrumentalist who has performed professionally over the years in most of Lancaster’s theaters. She has played principal roles at American Music Theatre, Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, Rainbow Dinner Theatre, Sight and Sound Theatre, and Mt Gretna Theatre. Cass holds a Basic Cantor Certification within the Catholic Church. For many years she has been a soloist for wedding and funeral Masses. Cass is also a certified therapeutic musician and is locally contracted to provide soothing music for hospice and nursing home patients. Cass founded and coordinates “Songs for the Journey”, a volunteer live music ministry for those who are dying. Cass guides the 40 members in this ministry who freely comfort the dying of Lancaster County with their music.   

Darlene WayDarlene Way is an accomplished musician who has been teaching flute since the age of 13. She went on to graduate from Elizabethtown College with a degree in Music Therapy. As a college student she appeared as the guest soloist with the Elizabethtown Orchestra, conducted by Mr. Leithman and attended Master Classes on flute performance at Kent University. She also studied with John Wummer who was the principle flutist for the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. For eight years she was a principal musician for the Taize services held at First United Methodist Church in Lancaster, PA. Over the years she has performed professionally with her flute for numerous weddings and funerals. Darlene is also a Licensed Practical Nurse. She is the recipient of the Nightingale Award from the State of Pennsylvania for her academic excellence and outstanding volunteer service. Darlene has voluntarily provided music lessons to the elementary school-aged, inner city children of Lancaster.
